Julian is a graduate of the International Boatbuilding Training College Portsmouth, and an affiliate member of the International Institute of Marine Surveying. He has also worked on wooden boats for a number of boatyards around Chichester Harbour before setting up as WYC.
Chichester Harbour is a great area for sailing, and there is a great number of wooden boats cruising and racing in the area, including at Bosham Sailing Club that regularly holds classic dayboat races and regattas. Chichester Harbour and National 18’s, Yachting World Dayboats, Chichester Harbour Scows and Tideway Dinghies are among the classic dayboats raced by Bosham Sailing Club. Julian is fortunate to be involved in the maintenance of some of these vessels. The beautiful Solent Sunbeams and X One Designs are also raced in the harbour by Itchenor Sailing Club, and during the winter months WYC is involved in their maintenance. Nordic and International Folk Boats, SCODS, Deben 4 Tonner, Mirror Dinghy, Sparkman & Stephens and Rampart are some other examples of vessels that Julian has worked on.
Please have a look at the Latest Projects page for information on projects being worked on at the moment.
